It's that time of year again - the boats are being hauled out of the water for the winter, and Len's Cove is beginning to prepare for its annual Chili Haul Out Lunch on November 3rd, 2013 at 11:30 am. To celebrate this wonderful summer, the staff here at LCM has decided to introduce a fun, new element to the traditional Chili Lunch... for the first time ever, we will be having a competitive chili cookoff between the staff that you, our boaters will get to not only eat, but vote on! We will be having several different teams competing in the cookoff:
Team One: Grounds / Dockstaff
- This team will consist of Tess Buddin, Lisa Mallette, Geoff Phillips, and Tyler Mallette as its head chefs!
Team Two: Service
- Steve, Wendy, Brenda, Nathan Horsfall and LCM's dedicated technicians have already started "brewing" a collaboration of special recipes to serve you their best chili yet!
Team Three: Store Staff 1
- Mandy, Paula, and Kim are working together on this... if their cooking skills are anything like their work ethic, this will be one chili you don't wanna miss!
Team Four: Store Staff 2
- The Bonnies, Tiah, and Lera Horsfall are combining efforts to make a delicious chili for those vegetarian and veggie lovers alike!
We will also be using the Chili Lunch to gather feedback from everyone on suggestions for our bathrooms! There will be suggestion boxes set up at the lunch, where you will be able to put your feedback! Please feel free to also like us on Facebook, where you can join our discussion about the bathrooms, and give feedback from where ever you are! We will be serving make your own smores over the fire!
