The weekend of June 7th boaters from Len’s Cove enjoyed another great weekend in Westport Harbour for the Annual Len’s Cove Rendezvous. Despite the poor weather forecast for the weekend many of our heartiest ventured out in the rain to be part of the weekend. The weather did not dampen our spirits we still enjoyed a fun filled event!
Thanks to our dock staff and Toby Spry for assisting some of our boaters on their way up through the Narrow's lock and the Upper Rideau! After a long day of setting up the evening was catered by Kundrinko’s in Westport. The meals are always great! During dinner Tom Watson from the Big Rideau Lake played guitar (Tom is a regular playing at The Galley). Everyone enjoyed his music as they danced around the tent.
Saturday morning we woke to clouds, but the rain had subsided. Len’s Cove staff and boaters joined together for our First Annual Len's Cove Golf Tournament. We played at Evergreen Golf Course just outside of Westport. Our serious golfers were almost done the course before the Len's Cove staff team was half way through! The day was full of many laughs, and quite a few missing balls.
Golfers made it back to the Westport Harbour just in time for dinner at The Cove Inn. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at The Cove with live music. Finally some sun on Sunday as we headed back to the marina. Thank to everyone that enjoyed the weekend with us! Find pictures of the event here and please post any you want also.
